My name is Tracy and I live in the PNW. I'm getting ready to start a 125 gal salt fish and coral as the final result. It's been 20 yrs since I had my 150 reef tank, and so much has changed I'm seeing. I've had fresh water along the way, and a small salt up until 7 yrs ago. I will have to build a new stand for this tank, so I've been looking through they DIY's. To start, still reading different threads, I'll have minimal substrate (sand- hopefully live) min. live rock adding more as finances allow. I know I'll have to run through cycling before anything else. I'm using at the moment 3 large hangon biowheel style filters, (I'd done this with my 150 reef years ago and everyone was very healthy) until I learn more about sumps/protein skimmers. I only recently learned you can cycle with shrimp vs way back I was always told just use a few damsels. I'm sure I'll have tons of questions. So, thanks in advance.

Thank you everyone.
