New to Reefs

So I figured I’d do a quick introduction and set my goals. I am Gabriel. I’m a medically retired Marine that grew up in Iceland and England. I grew up on islands and near water... now live in the middle of Phoenix and miss the water . I’m fairly new to the hobby thought I did previously do some saltwater tanks with some success but they were small and pretty bare. My goal is to start a 90 gallon reef tank with an octopus. (I know not for a beginner, but luckily I have my dad to help me somewhat but it’s been awhile since he’s run a tank and technologies and what we know has changed.) so my goal on here is to get help and maybe find out some cool gadgets I can get and trade for. Any help is appreciated! This is my tank setup bare bones. I’ll post more on it in a different thread.
