Going on 2 weeks with our 55 gallon saltwater tank. First week added 50 lbs of dry rock and 40 lbs of sand then 45 gallons of pre mixed saltwater. Added 32 oz of Fritz Zyme 9. Ammonia never did spike although Nitrites did. I added two clown fish a week ago to help with the cycling of the tank.. At the present I am at .2 PPM of Ammonia and 0 Nitrites. Temperature is 80 F. I am running this tank on a Fluvel 307 canister filter with sponges, carbon and bio max media. My question, is this canister filter a strong enough filter for this tank? I plan on adding more fish and eventually coral.

Welcome to reef to reef . I run a large spunge on my 125 clean it every weekend with water change . I would do the same or you are going to have uncontrollable nitrates. Once your tank has been up for a few months I would take everything out of your canister just run your spunge and charcoal or purigen ,phosphate media. Your rock is all the biological media you need.
