Ok so I told everyone that I had an algae problem well I bought three turbo snails and five hermit crabs about two to three weeks ago and they have been doing a pretty good job at cleaning. I know it doesn’t look that good right now but I am not going to let that stop me and I figured if everyone can see it someone may have some helpful hints to get me on track. So here is a photo. Remember that the tank is only about 3 to 4 months old.

I like to think so didn’t want to start with too much in there

I started out similar back in 93. 75 gallon, small amount of rock. HOB skimmer.

Quickly added more rock and corals to it over time. Back then there wasn't much hard coral to be had, so it was mostly softies:

Hi guys, John here. Just wanted to say hello. Very new to the saltwater game. The store I deal with never told me about having a clean up crew. They just tried to sell me chemicals. So as soon as I get my algae under control I will post a pic of my first saltwater tank.
Welcome to R2R and the salty world John. Lots of knowledgable and helpful people here who will support and advise you when needed.
