Hello all,
When I say I am brand new to the hobby I mean it. I just started cycling my first aquarium ever. Freshwater never interested me so I never even bothered with a basic freshwater setup. I will say I have been lurking around the hobby for over 15 years, reading, learning, observing off and on via these forums and others as well as youtube videos.
Beginning of June this year I finally said "enough is enough" of being on the outside looking in and began purchasing everything I would need to be successful.
Setup: Red Sea Max E170 (45gal) w/ Apex Neptune system. Tunze 3155 ATO, and MP40 (not currently being used). I bought backup heaters and pumps for everything just in case something were to fail. Already got a fair share of Hanna checkers and Sailfert as well.
Before this hobby I was into modifying sports cars and such, but I have since phased out of that. I also come from a programming / computer background so the water chemistry / numbers aspect of the hobby also intrigues me. I do enjoy tinkering around in the advanced settings of Neptune Apex thats for sure!!!
I plan on starting up a build thread here shortly once I get a little more progression under my belt but looking forward to conversing with you all!
Thanks.
-Steve
