Also- buy as much tank as you can afford. All those gorgeous fish and coral suck you in and you want to be able to grow out nice colonies.

Also- highly recommend keeping a reef ready tank with a sump and starting with near 100% aged live rock if possible.

Get a reef ready tank that is drilled with an overflow and have a sump down below for your equipment.
