New to the site and Saltwater :D

Hey all!

How's it going! Just started up a saltwater tank for the first time been a freshwater guy for a long time now, trying to see if i can get saltwater going!

Been having some issues because my tank was not cycled fully! Glad i finally found somewhere to ask a bunch of a questions haha

Will post a picture of what i have going so far!

If you just set it up not long ago your gonna get some algae, good ol ugly stage.

yeah its been about a month and half now. Should i be cleaning it off? or let it sit?

Just let it run its course. Keep your glass clean and get some snails, they will help with some of the algae. Every new tank goes through the ugly stage.

Nope, do a little research on the different varieties there are though. Some are bigger and can knock over rock work thats not secured good and then some eat different algae than others. I would start with some astrias and trochus. I might of butchered the spelling but you'll find them lol. Also a few hermit crabs wouldn't hurt, I would get blue leg hermits or scarlets. Stay away from red leg hermits I've heard multiple people say they've caught them munching on some of their coral.
