Good evening all, so I got my first ever torch coral today. I am acclimating it now. Kind of excited, kind of nervous. Any tips or tricks for them that I should know? This is only my 2nd ever LPS. Once it gets over its trauma of all the changes it has gone thru to get here I will post a pic of it.

Be careful it doesn't have too much direct flow hitting it. And give it some space. You'd be amazed how far those polyps can extend.

So no direct flow but this seems like a bit much to me, is it?

This is a little too much flow. You want them to be gently flowing in the current. Try just a little less, if you can. Beautiful torch!

Towards the end of the video you can see his the torch moves. I like to have a gentle follow with some random bursts if that makes sense lol

Awesome, and thank you.

Makes perfect sense. I am just not sure I can change the flow and that is the best location for it in my tank. The flow is coming from an HOB. Filter, and it is in the only place I can have it.

So when I turned off one of my power heads, the flow slowed, seems like too much. I will play around with things tomorrow and see what I can come up with. Thank you for your help. I will post again sometime this weekend for some more input.

So I think I found a better flow for my torch. If you can see this video, please let me know what you think.

Either one, i thought the 1st was ok.
Yeah, sometimes I felt like it was ok, but sometimes I felt like like it looked like I put it in the middle of a hurricane :D

Good flow keeps them clean. This IMM, important.
Once happy, never move them, IMG_0070.jpeg
