I am plumbing in my new sump and the drain pipes from the factory are next to impossible to attach.

Could I have my drain pipe just go in the holes and skip the factory fittings?

What part about them aren't attaching? Essentially yes you could just run your drain pipe through the hole, that's all that black tube piece does is go from your plumbing through the sump cover and into the drain area

If your using the correct size they should mate together unless one is metric. You could contact Trigger Sumps or just run it through the hole like you suggest.
