just received a new westside for my MP40. i have the ES and was told the new wetsides are good for all mp40 models.

first off, when i opened it, the blade itself seems very tight, almost have to force it to spin. unlike my old ones.

when i install it in my tank, the magnet seemed a little weak and when i went to start it, both the wet and the dry side jump off the tank.

is there a setup difference when using the new styled wetside like changing/removing the spacer. adjusting the glass thickness setting.

im hoping its something simple

Did you resolve this? I have a new MP40 wetside that spins so fast it unscrews the cover. 3/4" glass so I just use the thin rubber spacer, never had this issue before, glass is clean. I'm thinking they went to a cheaper magnet, doesn't hold on 3/4 glass very well.
