Newb nem Q about $price$

always like to poke around the marketplace and found a debate over a nem and its price. What makes some nems (and corals for that matter) worth so much? One with more colors and larger worth 30-100 rather than a 2 tone smaller worth 1500? Rarity, I suppose, collector type? would like to know rather than assume. Thx in advance

It really all boils down to however much someone is willing to spend..

Thanks for the response. Music to my ears ! Hardy, colorful, and cheap ?! All are rare species to my living room! No oceans in PA. Lol

color and scarcity is exactly that... I used ot be a naysayer... then I got into high end... lol. and i would say the emotional and shaock value makes it worth it. like a CSB for example or a rare bounce
