Newbie apex mistakes?

This is an opinion but that said.

Never, ever, ever rely on any one thing for critical function. Never connect a dumb heater, or doser to your apex. The purpose of the Apex is redundancy so I never want the Apex to control anything. It is an alarm system to let me know that something else has gone wrong.

Great point! Worthy of #2

What are somethings that you wish you could have done differently as a newbie apex owner?
I REALLY wish I had bought the “Pro” edition instead of the standard a3 apex. I almost ended up spending that much anyways, I had to buy a VDM to dim my kessils, which the pro has built into the head. Also get more ports, an ORP probe (wish I had), the updated leak detector (can get wet multiple times) and the LLS looks really nice for monitoring ATO.

+1 on that i agree. They should add something that truly explains the difference I would’ve got the pro also. If you dont you will end up spending the same amount or more.
