I have been feeding reef roids twice a week at the advice of my lfs. The corals seem to like it but just wandering what the spider web looking things are they produce. Is this normal?

Corals use feeding filaments deployed into the water to micro feed. It may be that.

Its normal, some corals have what Dom said but thats the food binding with it's self. The food strings up in the water when I put it on all my corals!
