2nd compartment ceramic rings in a bag

middle compartment return pumps, ato, heater

3rd compartment ceramic rings in a bag

So long as you have some mechanical filtration and good carbon and going consistent water changes it's just fine. I also like using purigen in all in ones as well. A good way to use all of those is to use chemipure blue

Would you remove the sponge and put in chemipure blue In its place? I have a brand new Bag of it

I can fit another reactor in the back - fill it with carbon

I would set up filtration so it runs mechanical, then whatever chemical you decide to run, and then biological if any.
