Hi all, finally made the plunge into the saltwater hobby. I'm a noob, who decided to dive into a 100 gallon Cadlight tank which I've purchased from a friend who is upgrading to a 220. I'm probably 2 months away from actually taking possession of the tank as he needs time to migrate.

At this point, I'm building my RO/DI system and getting some aquascaping done and get my dry rock cycled for the next 2 months. I'm also going to build a quarantine tank and I'll stock it with a handful of fish that will be the first inhabitants of my tank. Not really sure what a good starter fish will be, but a pair clowns sounds like a good idea.

thanks for the welcome

I'm learning to be patient. I've come to learn that progress in reefing takes time.

Signed up for 916SaltWaterClub, waiting for them to accept.

Some pics of my aquascaping, phase 1, probably will spend the whole week fine tuning it.

thx

The kids have their wish list, they want Nemo and Dori. Other then that I'm open, lots of wonderful options. I like the flame angel, though I concerned about how it'll play with the corals.

thank you guys for the welcome.

wrapped up the aquascaping last weekend and now on to the cycling. Curious, do I have enough rocks for my 100 gallon tank to support an adequate level of bacteria. I just found out that you there is a ratio to lbs of rock to gallons in a tank and I'm way below. Do I need to worry about that?

BTW, the cardboard cutout is the size of the tank not the black pen mark. My tank is 48x23.5.

thx
