Hey Kelly, another fellow Missourian here about an hour to your north in Clinton. I would suggest an Ice Cap Gyre 1k for your new tank. It will give you tons of flow.

Welcome to R2R and agree on the Gyres being good. (specifically by Maxspect).

Just to offer an alternative opinion...

I bought a Maxspect gyre, and got rid of it. Hard to clean, limited mounting options, and the whine they make bugged me to no end.

A pair of Rossmont mover's on a Waver controller move more water, and do so without the whining.
