Hang in there. I'm brand new and can offer no help. The knowledgeable people will be here soon. They will be able to walk you through the treatment. I have seen lots of posts about velvet and ich on here. You are in good hands. Just give them a bit to get the coffee going.

Welcome to R2R! Sorry about the velvet. It will be torture while you wait but going fallow is the way to go. It will save you a lot of heartache down the road.

6 months in and I have Velvet. Great. Idk where it came from.
Glad to have you here, just sorry it is under such unfortunate conditions!

You can leave all your corals, algae, and inverts in your system when you take it fallow. You just need to make sure there are no more fish in the system so the velvet will starve itself out.
