:xd: I am so excited. I decided to go for a rimless tank this time around. I currently have a 40 gallon breeder mixed reef and will be doing a timeline of setup all the way up to final completion. The reason why I want to document this is just to show and have history on what I did and what will go into this future masterpiece. I still have to purchase a new octopus protein skimmer, LEDs or 6 bulb T5 lighting, plumbing fixtures, and build a 20 gallon long sump.

I know it just a tank but within time it will become a great work of "NATURAL LIVING ART" the future looks promising!!! I will update everything within time. :nerd:

It's been sometime now. Setting up a new tank with a job that requires so much time leaves me with minimal time to allocate to my new tank. But, please reassured I shall update everything as time goes by. I am happy that I finally get a chance to timeline such a thing. Wish I had done this before with my other tank.

Finally found a stand for my 57 gallon. It may be suited for a 75/90 gallon but hey at least it will function. I drilled the center for my overflow.

And my plumbing seems a bit underway with fabricated 20 gallon long sump and carbon/phosphate reactor...

Cool! My friend (also from Bay area) just bought the same tank and is currently setting it up as well. I really like this tank, in fact I picked it out for her.

Any ideas of what kind of lighting you will be using on this?

GL with the setup!

Thanks Emily! I actually am progressing pretty slow but making sure I get the right type of equipment for this build.

Thanks Rev! I was actually going for some sort of modern look. It is gonna be fab when all is done.

Pkunk35 - Where does your friend live? Does she frequent R2R as well? Reason I'm asking is because I am in the process of trimming some corals. Mainly Chalices and Zs and Ps.

BTW the lighting I will be using will be T5s via WavePoint HO Lighting.

Mstansbery - Thanks for the compliment. Yeah you should definitely come by I'm totally ope to trades. I will get all my corals back from my fellow reefer/coworker during the second week of December so we could try then before the new year. And to answer your question about being a BAR member, I'm not. I never attempted to do so after becoming a member of R2R the greatest Saltwater Community Ever!!!!

For those of you interested in the updates on my 57 rimless it has been 4 months since it was filled with water and now come the fun part sharing and documenting its progress. Hope you enjoy this...

These are some of the corals that were picked up yesterday from my good friend who took care of my corals throughout the duration of my cycling
process.

Picked up corals from my friend Ed in South San Francisco and took this FullTankShot on December 31, 2012 what a great way to ring in the New Year!!!

Sorry for the poor quality photo. But from left to right we have WWC PurpleWarPaint, CherryCoral Unknown Chalice, CherryCorals Pinstripe Chalice, WWC Ultra RainbowLobo, LFS RedScoly,CherryCorals SuperWomanScoly, UltraRainbowScoly, AquaSD Enchinata, Common Acans

Next week I am hopeful to grab hold of my Ps and Zs and the rest of the family so they can all be together again. I sure miss them. But it sure is nice to know that they are in grrrrreat hands!

Pics are from my old 40 gallon prop tank before the move to Petaluma, CA

Hoarding anyone?
