I started my tank in 01/2014! I started with a 25 watt heater, 14 lbs of live rock, some Fiji, 1 1/2" of sand, a cup of sand from a 8 year old tank and some deli shrimp for ghost feeding. My tank completed its nitrate cycle in 2 weeks.

I then added my CUC.

After a month I added 2 ocell. clown that were on sell as pairs. This was my first mistake for they both died! 2 fish 2 soon. Took them back to LFS and got another pair. The larger one yet died again and the smaller one lived. After this ive added numerous corals over a month and then added a Darwin clown before the smaller one became sexually mature.

I had a nitrate issue for the longest time. I could go from 10 ppm to 100 ppm over night. I then got some chaeto (I think I abbreviated right) and its much better under control. I have not had a reading over 10 ppm since. I WC 1 gallon a week and mix my own water.

The last major thing I did was a LED retro fit. I got some 50/50 panoramic LED strips. I then came across some old LED exit signs and retro fitted the strips for moon lights. Now I have the 50/50 LEDs an 18 watt actinic compact, and 2 red low intensity LED moon light strips.

Here is a Live stock list.

4 margarita snails
1 narassas snail
1 Stomitello snail (HK)
1 Mexican Turbo snail
4 Blue/red leg hermits
2 Emerald Crabs
2 Brsitle worms (HK)
Tubeworm/Feather Duster (HK)
1 Ocellaris Clownfish
1 Darwin Clownfish
2 Green Mushrooms (HK) use to be one. They split
1 Green recordia and 1 orange/purple recordia.
Some dragon eye, monkey nipple, watermelon, blue, and a few other random zoas
Pulsing Xenia who is growing like crazy.
1 Branching Hammer coral being the newest.
Last that I can think of, I got some blastos and acons on the way!

Here are the main progress pics I have!

Day 2

After getting first zoas with a little HK that I still have and no one seems to know what it is!

First batch of Zoas

Mushroom HK before split

First month with second batch of clowns

Feather duster/tube worm HK

Old stock lights

Another HK that no one can figure out

Trying to get first green recordia to attach

New 50/50 LEDs

New zoa and branching hammer

The rest of my zoas except watermelon

All lights on

Moon lights on. Really hard to get a good pic.

Second day of Pulsing Xenia

New Recordia

New clown

And last but not least. My current battle! CYANO... I think.

tank looks really cute. I don't like to criticize, but I'm thinking two clowns in such a small tank may not be the best. Maybe just one clown? and look at smaller nano fish.....

right now there still juvi. I got a custom in wall 120 gal that im waiting to be finished and delivered. They wont be in there the whole time. Once my new tank come and is cycled they will be transferred. The nano will be used as either a small frag tank, a refuge or QT tank. Havent decided yet.

I use to have a RSM 650S but we had a house fire. Total 2 year loss and insurance didn't cover it. The only thing that made it was the heater.... Ironic right?

Nice! I was about to say you need a bigger tank because it was looking a little cramped in there. lol
