Nice Interspecies Shoaling

The first fish in my tank was a mimic tang, Loki, the last one, a one spot foxface, Oppy. For much of my tank’s history, the mimic tang has been a loner as most of the fishes that accompany his existence (save from a pair of baggai cardinalfish), and the first weeks with Oppy they all lived their own solitary life, until recently.
Loki and Oppy now spend most of their time swimming together, they swim side by side from side to side and graze together the unwanted algae from the rocks. It’s fun to watch how they follow each other in the tank, the only thing they will not do is sleep together (guess they aren’t that open minded), as Loki sleeps in his cave (where no one else is allowed other than the cleaner shrimp, but that’s just a bold little creature who also happens to have been the first inhabitant of the tank) and Oppy sleeps right outside in a small crevice next to Loki.
It strikes me kind of funny these friendship and wanted to see if any of you have experienced different fish species shoaling (or even schooling) together.

Beautiful mimic

My valentini puffer and masked rabbitfish are constantly swimming side by side or following each other around. They even sleep together. I suspect this is because they’re the only 2 fish that are active swimmers in the tank.

My hippo and scribbled rabbit are fast friends. Wouldn't call it 'shoaling' but they do hang out together.

I wouldn't call it scgooling or shoaling, but wheneve my female Midnight Clown is being a really mean #%$&@ to my male Frostbite Clown, my six line wrasse (who is the smallest of the three fish and was last to be added) will get in between them when he sees her harassing the male. He will then proceed to stay there, constantly placing himself in front of her for several minutes until I guess he assumes that he has settled the matter, and them go about his day until it happens again later.

So the six line sort of acts like the human resources department for the tank.
I find mimic tang a bit underrated, very beautiful tang, who are peaceful and healthy. It’s not that no people keep them, it’s just it’s no one’s first choice for a tang.
