Yeah yeah I know they're all jerks and every fish has its own personality... But! I had heard that sebae were less likely to bite the heck out of you when you stick your hands in the tank, I also like that they get a big bigger since I'm putting them in a 75 gallon. Now people are telling me that they're super mean. So what's everyone's thoughts? Is there a species that's less likely to attack me when I need to get into my tank? Or am I going to bleed every time I need to get in there? I'm planning on a pair with an anemone to host them.

Honestly my real opinion though is that they're all similar risks (outside maroon who are demons) once they reach adulthood, so it's always a "how bad do you want it and will you work around it if it becomes a jerk" situation

honestly toss up between percs and ocy, but ive always preferred percs. the ones that used to come in from bali and solomon islands were so brightly colored compared to many captive breds. they have gotten much better and still def support captive breeding

Im not in the US so ordering from them won't be an option but thanks for the suggestion!
A "What if" question. I have recently wondered how much difficulty (if any) you would face to drive into the US to a local fish store (Bellingham, do they have one?) other than the drive, miles, fuel, and traffic, what kind of scrutiny would you face as a Canadian bringing in a pair of clownfish if you bought them in the US during a holiday or shopping visit? Sorry for the hijack, but I am curious about the challenges to our hobby in this area.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not super keen to cross the line any time soon especially given the things on my social media... I know before things went crazy that it wasn't difficult to bring fish across as long as they weren't restricted in BC or on CITES. I'm not sure about now. In BC we're lucky we have some nice shops like aqua integrated, carriere reef etc that seem to do a pretty good job with their stock.

In my experience, that behavior usually happens when they are protecting eggs. I think that any fish would be aggressive protecting their eggs.

I have a small 21 gal lagoon with a mated pair of Ocellaris. They've claimed one of the corners of the tank, and as you mention they're really only territorial over that specific corner since they always either have eggs there or are in the middle of prepping it to lay some. If I stick my hand in the water near that corner, the male will come after my fingers, but anywhere else, they really don't care so much.
