Nicks 40 gallon reef

I still run the skimmer but no filter socks. I built an oversized stand to handle a 30fuge and 28 sump. :-)

Hey Steve the place ur talking about is ocean is a glass witch has al saltwater fish btw nick on ur 40 what size sump did u go with? And how many drains and size is on it? I really like your set up and seeing that petco dollar a gallon sale is almost I am thinking of setting something up like yours also do u know if the bottom can be drilled on the 40 or is it tempered? Thank you for ur help

I'm pretty sure most bottom glass is tempered. You will have to Google the maker of the tank for specifics. I'm using a cpr hang on back overflow with a 1.5" drain. I bought the "deluxe" version with the aqua lifter to prevent flooding (hopefully). My sump/fuge is a standard 30g tank. I got the glass cut for the baffles and I made my own.

Fish are back in the display and still appear to be ich free! One of my sunny d zoas morphed solid purple, kinda neat. Bad pic but you can see it on the center plug
