Anyone running NICREW HyperReef 200 Gen2 over 40 breeder?

I picked one up to replace my aging MARS 300W. It was probably 10 years old and noticeably dimmer. Never measured par when new but now it is about 150 in the center and 50 on front and back with blue maxed and white to taste.

The NICREW has a much better front to back spread but edges are kinda weak. About 180 in the center front to back and 80 on the ends using their AB settings. Tank is mostly LPS some softies and this seems fine. Thinking of dropping it to 9 or 10 so I can grow out some easier SPS in the middle. Montipora, Psammacora, Staghorn. Stuff like that.

My question is, what height are you using? I have a hanging kit and it's about 13".

What did you measure par with? My 150 at 9 inches above the water, with a lowered AB+ (35, 40, 3, 6,6) is giving me about 200 par just under the surface and around 90 at 10 inches. I am using an ITC PARwise pro for measuring. this is on a biocube 29.

I received my Nicrew HyperReef 200W Gen 2 few days ago and tried without controller for now, using their presets. It gives me way too more PAR. I have Waterbox 50.3 AIO, which is of similar size to 40G breeder. The light penetration at the sides of the tank are noticeably weaker, so I'm waiting for a 3D-printed shade to control the spill and will try to move the light from my current 8" to about 11".
I'm still considering two AI Prime 16HDs instead of this one. The light spread will be better with two separate light, but the rest...?

VBR Aqua. This is about half way down.

I would add a second light. Or some supplement either T5 or LED bars. My 4’ SPS tank has two 200 watts, an xr15 in between them and Orphek bars
Agree on second light. Wanted to keep it simple. This is not a display tank just usedfor extra space
