So...I finally got the chance to get some PAR readings on the Nicrew HyperReef 200 Gen 2. Shout out and thanks to @pwfess for the Apogee PAR meter rental.

The lights are hanging 13 in over the tank. The tank is 54”x26”x22”

IMO its 110% worth it for you to upgrade the lenses to the 90 degree lenses at that height. You will double all those numbers. You can turn the whites down and get much more color pop. It became a whole new animal when I did mine.

Ugh... the only thing is I finally have them mounted up nice. I watched the video and don't know if it's want to tear it all down to swap them out
Were you able to see video I posted ? Bc I can’t see it haha. I don’t know why it’s always been hard for me to post videos on here.
I would say this. If you are running a LPS softie tank you shld be fine.
Also I feel your pain. Before I did these measurements I was concerned I was not gonna receive enough par on the outer edges and I was going to replace just the middle one with the standard lens . I was DREADING having to slide rail off and take lens out and put back in the standard lens. The lens swap out takes roughly 15 minutes to do and is fairly straightforward.
If you were able to see the last video I posted I will share another where I took par readings with my full spectrum and my blue spectrum as well as readings for 100% on all channels which gave me over 1,000 par on the very top next to acro and gave me around 600 on top with 100% all blues and violets.
I am thoroughly impressed and very glad I bought these lights on Black Friday for $280. I was looking at the A8se Max Pro and was about the same price but I read the app was kind of finicky and I wanted a straightforward controller with Amazon and Nicrew to back it up with the 1 year warranty etc. Not deal w customer service overseas from an unknown company. Although I’ve had two of their past lights and they were great.

Only downside I have found with the HR-200’s is that I wish it had more than 5 channels to customize spectrum.
That being said I will say that I can achieve many different spectrums I find pleasing and I’m very happy with.
Another plus is that unlike my Ecotech RMS rail the Nicrew rail is absolutely sturdy and has zero bend and is very slick and easy to use.
All in all this was a great buy and I can do whatever I want with it. Whether that be go full sps from sandbed up or mixed reef like I have now.
One last thing to note: my readings are from 9 1/2 “ from surface water. My usual flow and power heads were running and I have aftermarket shades from 3dreefing.

No, i cannot see the video. But that is an interesting idea, only changing out the middle (or 2 side) lenses, instead of all 3. I do run mixed, and my SPS are doing fine.

Yea you don’t need crazy high par. Matter of fact the 450 was turning my acro pale and whiter so last night I turned it down to around 250 par. I’ve ran t5s on tank for past year and kept them like 12” from water so that’s all it was getting or less before I’m sure and was coloring and growing nicely along with everything else in tank

Like the Radions they emulate, they are really meant to be mounted about 9" above the water. If you put them up that high, as others have already said, the 90 degree lenses would be a nice upgrade.

Curious on your thoughts on the lens kit in this scenario. I got two Gen 2 200s and I plan to place them on a 47 inch 16 inch deep tank (with 1.5 inch sand bed). Do you think the lens kit would make sense? I opted for the max light as I do plan to keep SPS. I know many people have four feet tanks but they also are usually much deeper than my tank.

So I've heard good things about the lens kit..however my tank is 24in deep and I'm running the lights at 60% with stock lenses and getting sps growth all over the tank.

Sounds good. Yeah I was hoping to keep my lights on a lower setting and I liked having three lens instead of two. Are your light still 13 inches above the water?

Also what light schedule are you running? Same settings as above and how long ramp up and down.

Yes still at 13 inches. And I ramp up 5 hrs, 12p to 5p, and down 5.5 hrs to 10:30p

You could order a lense kit for say the 150 which comes with two lenses and only replace one of the 3 lenses (the center one) with 90 degree reflectors on each fixture
