I’ve been looking into some lighting for my fluval evo 13.5, and I found the Nicrew HyperReef. It’s a good price, and it seems to grow coral well. I want to be able to grow some easy corals, but I’m not looking to grow any that are tricky to keep alive. Right now I have a blushing star coral and a orange cup coral. I’m debating between the 30w version, or the light I linked below. Which would be better?

Thanks!

I ended up getting the 30w. I have some spots for coral that are right at the surface, so they should get enough light. The stock light died on me, unfortunately.

Sounds good. Show some pics when its up!

I have the 30w over my Evo. I went with the 30 because it works with their controller for ramp up/down (sunrise/sunset) modes. Only the 30w works with the controller. I’m growing a ton of corals under it both LPS and SPS.

I have the exact same light but seem to have some issues with some LPS (hammer head). I am wondering if it is getting enough light. what light settings are you using?

Does anyone know how it compares with the Fluval Marine 3.0 Nano? I just ordered a second one because one is not giving me the coverage I want. Would the hyper reef be a step up in terms of spread and intensity?

I believe they both have nearly identical spectrums.

I have a question. Is there a way to program this light so that when it ramps down for the night, the blue light can remain on at 1% as nightlight?
I haven't found a way to do that. Based on the manual it is just for ramping the light on and off.

Yeah, what @Floreeef said. Hey OP @jkkgron2, would you mind sharing your light intensities for blue and white? Thanks.
