Hey there, I’m looking at getting some more light on my tank. It’s a 48” long tank 90 gallon. I expect I’d need 2 lights for it but I was trying to decide if I’d need the hyper reef 100, 150, or 200. I’ve for LPS softies and anemones. Anyone use these lights on a 4’ tank?

I've heard a lot of people pushing the Hyperreef 200 lately. For the price, spectrum, and controllability the 200 is supposed to be the way to go.

The 100 has a slightly worse spectrum.

Personally If money isn't an issue id do the 200s and run them lower percentage. It should make them last longer and the fan probably won't need to come on often.

I have 3 200’s on my 6 ft tank. 2 of them and a controller would work great for your tank.

Have you considered Noopsyche? I've tried several including Nicrew and settled on Noops. Beautiful color, high PAR and cheap price. Killer lights. I have 3 over my 48" frag tank. Also, they just dropped their version 4. Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestion! I hadn’t even heard of them!

Noopsyche are great lights. I have them over my 70 and over my 110 freshwater tank.
