I just bought a blue throat trigger about 4 1/2 inches with the blue on its face, I have 2 setups at home, one has a Niger 4 inches that has been in there a year, the other has a clowntrigger 3 1/2 inches. Witch would be a safer tank to put him in?

Both can cause issues to new arrivals, but clown triggers are generally worse. I would recommend utilizing a social acclimation box and putting it in the tank with the niger trigger.

What @eatbreakfast said, the Niger is the lesser of 2 evils but still no model citizen. An acclimation box will def be the way to go.

Best of luck and keep us posted!

The Niger is in the 125 and clown is in the 120gal 4ft. But I put him with the niger, in my reef tank. My niger is a little aggressive being he was my first fish, but I think it will be better than putting him in a 4ft tank with the clown

Yeah, the clown trigger would eventually kill it. Might very well kill other fish in its tank, depending on what they are.

The Blue Throat probably won't make it with the Clown. The Niger is allot more aggressive. But as mention, when the Clown gets bigger, it will kill off most of the fish in the tank with it. You could get lucky but it's not in a Clowns DNA to be nice:(
