I have not noticed any mode on the D60 to allow me to take panoramic shots. I have a free app on my iPhone that even does it, stitches them together and everything. You would thing a $600 camera would allow you to do it. Anyone has suggestions or tutorials on how to take panoramic shots with the D60?

I use photoshop as well.

Do you like the D60? I am in the market for a DSLR now that the baby is on the way and am trying to figure out what will work best for all around.

You can use Photoshop Elements. Last I knew it was around $100.

The reason dslr's don't generally have a pano mode is because it's more complicated with interchangeable lenses. To do a good pano requires a little extra effort because if things aren't aligned properly the computer will have a really hard time stitching the shots together. If you want to do it down and dirty just shoot each shot with at least about 30% overlap and try to keep the camera in one spot as best you can, pivoting the camera, not moving it side to side.
You can go pretty crazy gear-wise trying to do panos:
panoguide: Panoramic heads
I got a Nodal Ninja for my last vacation to take panos up in Alberta.
Oh yeah- there are programs dedicated to just making panos. Here's one of them. Photoshop does just as good a job as that program though (I own both). If you have Photoshop I find it easiest to get to the photo merge feature by selecting all the pics in Bridge, then clicking on Tools>>Photoshop>>photo merge. Photoshop automatically merges them all together to make your pano.
