Ok I’m not saying I’m gonna do this just wondering out of curiosity if it would be possible to house a single maroon clownfish in a 10g with Little rock work and heavy over filtration again not saying im gonna do it

Yes, it is possible to house one clown in a 10G tank.

What happened to the clown already in that tank from May 24 thread?

One clown is fine in a 10g. I am also curious as to what happened to your other clown.

Josh, Maroon's are the largest of the clowns but probably my favorite. I had one many years ago but they are just too aggressive for my current tank. 10 gal would be fine, just be diligent with a small tank as they go downhill fast.

I don't know, Maroon's get awfully big.... I'm not sure I'd keep one let alone two in a 10 gallon, though I'm sure it's been done 🙂

What do you mean they go downhill fast like die? Or just aggression because I know I probably couldn’t keep any other fish with it in a 10 gal

Josh, I meant the Tank itself not the fish. As your Maroon grows, he would place more bioload on a 10. Not a big problem but things do happen fast in small tanks. And FYI, I visited and LFS in my area that has a mated pair in a display tank of maybe 30 gallons, and the female is huge(5 inches) and really chunky.

Maroon clowns get huge. Absolutely humongous. I have seen female maroon that was 6 inches. I would not put Maroon clowns in a less than 40 gal breeder tank if you want to keep them long term. They also get extremely mean especially when they are not in adequate space.
