Hi,

I’ve recently added reef octopus bio spheres to my tank to bring my nitrates down.

Soon as I’ve introduced these my skimmer has stopped pulling anything out.

Has anyone had any issues like this

Yes I have when I added and nitrate reducers there were simply no nitrates for the skimmer to pull out

Try turning off your skimmer for a day then turning it back on that is what worked for me
When I last tested about 4 days ago my nitrates were 25.8, so plenty there. I turned the bio pellet reactor off last night & my skimmer started pulling stuff out straight away.

It’s very strange.

I'll turn my skimmer off for 24 hours now & see if it helps

Indeed that is strange what is the skimmer doing when that are both plugged in

It just goes like a fizzy drink and doesn’t go anywhere near the top of the skimmer cup
