I am struggling to connect the mini I just received. I have a dedicated (pre-set) 2ghz signal, but can't even connect to that. Did you have to setup a unique channel for this? I tried googling and can't even figure out how to do that?

Honestly, my time is worth more than then hour I've already spent trying to connect this thing.
Make sure it's 2.4 and make sure you're in the right mode. You can tell by a little colored led.

Thanks. I am trying to connect to 2ghz band, and not only did I use the correct blue light, I even tried the red one just in case. I followed the paper - and then the video - instructions as well. I am generally pretty tech savvy, so im not sure what's up.

will try again later...otherwise its getting returned. I can't spend hours trying to get a light to work. im bummed, because light looks good. almost blinded me when I got it working for a moment in AP mode connected to its own signal. that only lasted like 2 minutes tho before it cut out.

So if i remember correctly the minia amd 140w wifi has to go through a 2.4ghz connection. @noopsyche care to weigh in on this. I dont think it would work on a flat 2ghz connection. I remember reading a few people having issues unless using the 2.4

Yes, its 2.4ghz. I just am abbreviating it as 2. The dual bands broadcast signal at either 2.4 or/and 5. I just tried again and can connect to AP mode, but it only last connected for minutes. the wifi/LAN mode not connecting at all...and yes I am toggling the red/blue light to the correct mode per the instructions.

I do appreciate the attempts at support here...but getting annoyed at this thing.

And you're staying connected to the Noopsyche WiFi, not your personal wifi? Make sure your phone isn't switching back to your wifi because the Noopsyche network technically doesn't have internet

So the lan wifi connection has to be a steady connection which can only be steady when isolating the 2.4ghz on the ip spectrum website since it is a mesh router. Its not working for you for lan because you have to physically go in and seperate the 2.4 and 5ghz connection by setting it up through the ip address through the router. The website i sent in previous post walks you through how to isolate the 2.4ghz wifi connection. It will show up as its own wifi connection and have to be renamed and a new password set up. If you dont do this spectrum is set up to bounce back and forth between 2.4 and 5 to give you the most reliable connection. Refer to the website above and it will walk you through how to do it. Then you must connect to just the 2.4 (once made) to be able to function the light. With mesh systems it is a little harder but can be done with the right tools or in this case info on how to seperate the two frequencies.

What tank is it? Here is my lighting schedule so far. Have had to fine tune and make adjustments hope this helps a little bit. Also depending on preference of blue or more white. A little white goes a long way. My torch is roughly 20in away from light at this setting and zoas about the same if not a little higher.

@N1tew0lf1212 hey I have a couple questions I was wondering if you could help me with. I just got my shipment in. 2 k7 minis for my 40gal breeder. I have zoas, palys, blasto, duncan, and gorgonian. I currently have it on lps but instead of 80 blue I put 60. But are these settings good? And I have alot of overspill with the lights. They are 10 inches above glass top but at late afternoon and night the entire room is blueish. Tia.

I would say see how everything reacts that will tell you. I personally have played with my % a lot over the last several months to dial it in just so i knew everything was happy. These lights are bright thats for sure. I would say for the light spill my personal friend and light tech guy for shades is in this posting and also has all his prints for sale on his website i will tag him in the post. He also works hand in hand with @noopsyche. I hope you have a very merry christmas. And if there is any other way i can help let me know. I am not a noopsyche jedi but have gotten pretty good with this light since acquiring it.
