Has anyone used these lights on a larger system? I'm thinking about putting them on a 300g 8ft mixed reef. Trying to see someone's setup and how many they went with and their results

I used 3 on a 135.

I am using three on a tank that is 28x60 footprint and am definitely wanting to add one more. I am also running supplemental t5. What is the footprint? I honestly wouldnt mind 5 over my system.

It's 96x24

Id think 7 would be pretty solid, especially if you were to run supplemental t5 like ive got going. When the t5s arent running in my tank i can tell that about 2” along the edges is pretty low par, which i am alright with running a mixed reef. I checked my par a couple days ago and the top of my scape is about 440 whereas the outer edges is around 80, with t5s on. Have not tested it with just the leds running. There is pretty good growth with all zoas, favias, anacros, acros, and montis so i think it is doing alright for a mixed reef.
There have been noopsyche lights over my tanks for 2 years now and i am very happy with them other than the programming of the lights which i try to get it to the par i want amd never touch it again, so its not that big a deal for me.

The t5 fixture i am running:

Right now they're on my 70 gallon but just 2 of them.

Recently added the Orphek and had to turn the Noops down.

I had 6 over this 72x24x24" tank. The two closer together on the left gave me 300 par on the bottom for clams.

They did so well I moved them over to this 84x30x25" tank when I broke down the other one.

Wow... thanks for that. Looks great! So I'll probably be good with 7
