What would you go with? I’m getting new light soon and stuck between these 2 options, I know there both good and can do the job, (nicrew new gen2 come out next month) but can only pick 1

I purchased 3 x Noopsyche NP7 V3 pro units a few months ago and I am very happy with the quality and functionality of these lights. I do not yet have any corals to record growth or coloration but this has been recorded by others and the feeling was very positive. So all I can offer now is that a 2 months after purchasing them I am not 1 bit unhappy with these light units. Also take into account I am an old style reefkeeper from the early T5 days so anything programable blows my mind, where as someone younger might consider the same as basic programable functionality.

Alot of us have been having problems with Noopsyche as far as shipping and customer service lately. If you need a light somewhat soon get the nicrew. Me personally I would say skip on the Noopsyche, customer service is a big thing, keep that in mind, no matter how much bang for buck the lights are.

The new Gen 2 Nicrew looks to be an absolute steal so far. I won't have my new tank for a couple months so I am stuck testing it in air and over a small tank that I can't mount it to

Solid plan!

I absolutely love my Gen 2 Nicrews I recently put on my 200 gallon mixed reef. Great spread and spectrum. So far my corals love it.

I have the nicrew 50w. I like it and it seems to be fine for softies and LPS. I do have a montipora but it's been through hell and looks not great, but it's still alive with polyp extension. It's more just browned out and hasn't grown. I wish I had went with the 100 or 150 as it would give me more options.

I'd go for noopsyche, I'm currently using k7 mini for my 26 gal LPS tank
