I find it funny that everybody who brings up the wiretapping and patriot act is a violation of your rights. The patriot act is actually based on the very laws of R.I.C.O (although it is broadened) act where the government does not have to have a new warrant to wiretap every time you get a new cell phone. It's called roving wiretaps and has been done for 20 years in fighting organized crime, and drug cartels. But to do it against terrorist and their organizations all of a sudden it's a major violation of your rights.
As far as FISA is concerned the tapping that the government were doing was tapping phone call from outside the U.S. into the country. In case you guys didn't know there have been reports that 80-90% of all telecommunications worldwide travel through our transmission lines or our satellite receivers here in the U.S. SO for any wiretapping to go on even if the call was outside the U.S to another country, the Dems want the U.S government to have to get a FISA warrant. To me that is ridiculous, talk about handcuffing the very people we expect to help protect us. There was even a case in Iraq where we could have tried to save a U.S. soldier but the AG couldn't get a clearance for the wiretapping in time to track the signal. But you are correct though there have been abuses as in anything else that has human involvement. It is hard to expect perfection when you have human involvement but that is what is expected.
President G.H. Walker Bush has already signed a bill back when he was Pres for the "NWO". In this bill the U.N. can take control of 60,000 U.S service man for the exact purpose of service under the "NWO/UN" with the borders of the United States. Once he left office we never heard another thing about it, but I would put money on that it is still being worked on in the back door communications.
