It doesn't sound like you're going to be rejected at all, you're just going to overthink yourself out of the running. When she says "I'm not free this weekend but I am next weekend" that translates to "Ask me out, I'm giving you my schedule for a reason". You got her number, don't think it to death, run with it. She's obviously interested, but that can change pretty quick if you're tripping over your brain so much. Highly intelligent girls (like one of 3 in an engineering program) love eye contact, smiling, open body language (aka don't cross your arms, use hand gestures), and compliments on things that have nothing to do with aesthetics. Yeah we like being told we're pretty just like any other girl, but if you recognize we're smart and treat us like we're on your level, bam, you're in.

^^Agree. You've got the green light, you just gotta go thru it. Drive slowly, but also don't get in your own way.

@Liquidangel22 well honestly I may have already tripped over myself. I may of misunderstood or done something wrong I don't know; but it would appear she works this weekend now. (The icy hot thing is a inside joke) image.png

Not trying to gas you up or put a battery in ur back, seems like she digs you man. But duuudde you gotta be patient, my girlfriend worked 3 jobs and litterally when we first started hanging, it would only be 2 times a week at night. Yea it sucked but atleast i looked forward to it, and its honestly what kept the ball rolling for a little over a year till we started dating. Im not a womenizer or whatever they call it but when they do work THEY take their work/job seriously. To be honest,even if shes brushing you off, she could be shy or embaressed but in a good way. Like everyone said, the chemistry takes time and you have to take things slow

If she's offering to find out her off days, then it's totally feasible she really does have to work, so you're good there.

And maybe this is just a personal thing, but saying you want to pay for her all day is a bit overbearing pre-first date, and makes it sound like you think she's materialistic. However I'm a whole lot more independent than most sooo, yeah.

Also what he said ... a date isn't worth my power getting shut off, I don't care how much fun you are lol

@Sabellafella

well i was going to make a joke out of the paying for her thing but she didnt reply how i was hoping. (in class we were talking about something about how she is going to have to dress up for her new job and be a day-time woman, and i said "dang, i dont think i could afford a day time ******* rates" so i was going to make a joke from that.) i know it sounds corny but when it was said in class it was funny its just taken out of context in a message on here... i havent replied yet to the last text she sent me (the above picture) im trying to do this myself but i dont want to **** it up, would it be too much or too pushy i should say to reply (alright alright, its not like its going to be the best day ever though and then a lil emoji thingy)..

Not busting bubbles here but no dont seem desprite be nice. I would love to be in a position like you with all the excitement but im getting old man. If you want to kno my oppinion, she seems shy and you gotta get her to be comfy tlking to you+ all around the board. Cant be trippin man girls dont like that,especially girls that work (im guessing your young because of school) as they carry themselves differently at your age. You tell her to let you kno when shes ready to hang, dont push it on her and keep asking her because when shes ready she will.

"alright,i guess the best day youve ever had will have to wait then. I still think money and spending a day with me are pretty close though (emoji)" thats what i wrote out but yet to send. i just kind of want a baseline of what women consider too pushy (i know all women are different)

@Sabellafella we posted at the same time look below or above you to see what im going to text her, (i can also add in the part "let me know when you wanna hang out") and im not terribly young lol thats why this is awkward for me im 22.

1. I can't believe this is a real thread.
2. She probably wouldn't appreciate you screenshotting her texts and posting them for 30K strangers to see.
3. Stop being such a .... You know what word I'm thinking of here.

Ask her out. If she says yes, great. If she says no, try again next week.

If only she could see this thread...

get over yourself. i dont want to screw this up, its not like im posting personal texts between me and her. Its just a general conversation that 20 other people in the class would hear if we were talking about it, in there. yes there is a fine difference between a thread and a classroom but im just asking for help here; if youre not going to contribute then dont even bother reading the thread.

LOL, My wife just asked me why I was laughing and I said that there is a guy on here who likes a girl and was asking how to ask her out. She said "and he is asking the guys on your fish tank forum?!" I said "Hey now! I'm a fish tank forum guy too!"
