will try and make short and sweet. Lion fish, trigger , puffer and damsel. puffer fish died, next day lion fish and damsel were gone. it took a few days to get the trigger. i tried to save him with a salt dump in a bucket, while performing a water change and adding ick medication. eventually it got him to. BUT THERE HAS BEEN A HAWKFISH IN HERE THE WHOLE TIME. mind u lol let tank be for a few weeks while adding ick medication and WC. eventually had another trigger and 3 days later he was gone. hawkfish still just chillin. added fritz cooperate ick medication. and then added a snowflake eel. hawkish is still chillin and the eel i’ve had for 2 weeks. is this weird or am i uninformed, i appreciate u all 🙌🏻

There’s really no ich medication that works except for treating with copper and you don’t really want to do that in the display tank.

Did you see white spots on the fish? Any flashing, scratching, etc? Swimming into the flow of power heads?

Can’t really make a diagnosis without more info and possibly pics…but fish dying within a few days could be something more serious than ich.

ya i used a more “organic” type of ice med that a employee referred me. definitely didn’t work and then i went w the fritz. which killed the snails but the hermits or ok. this is a fowlr tank btw

Has anyone had luck with soaking food in garlic?

I could be wrong, but I think the food soaked in garlic thing is just a way to keep the fish eating and hopefully increasing his ability to fight off the disease on its own.
