Can't really get a picture of this, but something is inside my live rock. At night, and only at night its sending out LONG sweeper tentacles. They are thin and tan. Like 4-5. I've shined the flashlight near the rock where they are protruding from and I can't see anything, its deep in the rock. But they retract them when the light is near. Any idea what this might be?

could be a tube worm or possibly a serpent star. cant tell you accurately without a photo. if it happens to be one of those usually isnt an issue. but then again depends on your tank

Best photo I could get. Of the tentacles. On the sandbed

You are probably looking at the gorg. I’m talking the thin tentacles on the sandbed. Very thin.

I haven’t heard anything bad about them, besides appearance. A lot of people like to have them as part of their CUC. I think they like to eat detritus, which is always good
