Hey Guys,
I am setting up a 240-gallon reef tank - here is the left half of my NSA aquascape.

Background color - Black
Sand bottom (1 inch)
Notes about the photo -

Top blue line - 24 inches (approximate height of tank)
Bottom blue line - 18 inches expected height of aquascape
aquascape base dimension - 48 inches x 24 inch

I want to compliment the NSA aquascape with some shelf rock aquascape to have plenty of sleeping/hiding places for fish and livestock.

Any suggestions are welcomed.

Here is my build thread:

Looks good! If I changed anything it would be to add a couple of small branches to the two single rocks laying on the bottom to tie it in with the two larger structures. I would still keep them small (and low), but right now, to me, it looks like they don't belong.

Have you thought about where fish will sleep and/or hide when startled or chased? Just something to consider.

I see you are adding shelf rock…. Maybe that will make the difference.

Syntax - so tank is not going to be all minimalistic - it’s a 8 ft tank and this represents a 4 ft section of it (or may be more to come ). J am contemplating putting rock pile on one corner and some sporadic 2-3 cave setup in the center and behind this rock structure I want it to be asthericallh pleasing too and looking for hybrid kind of rock scape for inspiration

Here is after a few hours of work this morning
@Syntax1235 this is the idea and first draft of fish colony on image no 1 I am working on - thoughts please this will be Aron’s 1/4 of the tank

did you ever finish? I'm currently working on my 5 foot tank and have a similar style going.
