Maintenance on my Ecotech battery backup. Very easy to swap out. You’ll need a new 12V 18AH battery. I went with a DURA12-18NB. Drill the rivets out, pull cover off and swap the battery. Hook everything back up and use eight, 6-32 x 3/8” machine screws to fasten the cover back on. Should last you another 3 years. Much cheaper than buying a brand new backup.

Building out a water mixing station in my garage. A bit overkill probably for my current reef tank. It will allow me room to upgrade if I decide to in the future. Waiting on plumbing to get in to at least start storing RODI until I grab a second 50 gallon container.

Did you buy this new or used? I've been on the lookout for a while for some nice mixing station containers but I rarely see them pop up for sale on places like FB Marketplace and Offer Up. Tractor Supply is probably my best bet but these are very pricey for new.

It was new. I have a farm store not to far from me that I can get the Norwesco tanks from. They are for sure not cheap.

Added the Edge 12 to the ReefBreeders Meridian 11. Really liking this light and how easy it was to set up.
I also am setting up a Nuvo 20 and and considering adding a front Edge strip like you did to add some more punch for SPS near the top. How do you like the edge, and do you think it's needed?

I think that it’s a nice look for sure. I would say it’s not needed though in general. It sticks out the front more than I personally like. If I had a little bit more front to back depth to the tank it would preform better. I’ll probably end up going with an Innovative marine 50 gallon fusion pro 2 in the future.

Decided to mount the Meridian to the wall and take the stress off the glass. I always got worried working in the tank that I’d bump the light and cause pressure on the glass. I used some cedar boards and fastened them to some studs. Then I grabbed some 3/8” x 2.5” lag bolts with washers to fasten the bracket to the cedar boards. A bit overkill but this thing is now mounted very solid and at the appropriate height.
