Euphyllia "garden" - I did things this way because I read that most euphyllia will get along nicely. Over time, this has turned out not to be the case. I occasionally come home from work to find the frogspawn reaching out and actively stinging the torch coral! I thought it would have been the other way around, if anything. I'll have to move these guys away from each other or frag the torch. I love the frogspawn - probably my favorite LPS.

Beautiful Aussie Elegance. In the second photo, half of the orange plate coral is visible, including his exposed skeleton. This guy is making a comeback after nearly dying off completely whenever chemical warfare was going on in the tank about a month ago...

I could probably spend more time with photography and pretty things up, but then I'd honestly never get around to it. Happy Monday everyone!

That's a RedSea Light/Fixture, but a Waterbox tank.
You know I originally wrote Waterbox instead of RedSea in that post because I didn’t see the RedSea logo on the stand. But I saw the light fixture and thought it was more likely to be RedSea. How are you liking it so far? Anything you would change?

The fixture - I love the hanging kit; looks sleek. The ReefLED 90s are great - definitely more "blue" than I'm used to, but all that can be adjusted with the app, which is easy enough to use. The Waterbox 130.4 is awesome, just wish they had a dedicated refugium partition in the sump. Otherwise, perfect for my mixed reef needs!

Hey, all planning to buy, the innovative marine Lagoon 50. What's your guys take on 1 Reef wave 25 or 1 vortech MP 40 for this tank?.
I know a few people have been using 2 MP10's. But I don't know what would be better.

Multiple powerheads are always a better option. More random flow.

I use 3 in my IM50

Great, thanks. There's a lot of confusion between the gyre pumps and vortechs so was trying to see which one is the right way to go.

My IM50 and APS stand are currently on the way. I‘m going with a single Kessil 360x on the rigid arm mount for lighting. Still deciding between the Vortech and Gyre as well. Comes down to aesthetics for me because I feel they are both good choices for variable flow. Reliability went to Vortechs, not sure if thats changed over the past few years or not.

Pretty much same here, I am gonna pick it up from my LFS as they have it in stock. I have a A360 WE blue, so will just go with that for the moment. Are you getting the Nuvoskim protein skimmer? Or something else?

Not sure on the skimmer yet. I may go without a skimmer on this tank if I set up a continuous water change. About 5 gallons a week.

I have two power heads on my Lagoon 50 and it could use a third. Two gyres may work as well depending on how you scape it and what the plan is for corals.

I'm planning to use my two existing Nero 5's on my IM 50 lagoon. I have two MP40's as well, but thought that might be overkill and just look too big on that size tank. The Nero's put out some good flow but still have a small profile. They do have cords inside the tank, if that's something you're fussy about.

I went with the Red Sea ReefWave 25. It should arrive tomorrow along with my tank and stand.

Yes and it's nice imo. Very quiet and has ran flawless so far. Was easy to setup in the app for wifi control. I have it horizontal right now but may try it vertical close to the back wall to make it less noticeable, but that applies to any pump in this style.

Thank you

My ole 2015 gyre 300, bit the dust last night.

OP sorry for the high jack and hope your reef is doing well.

Random, 50 forward and 70 reverse. I oriented it vertical and moved it to the back wall and like it better in this position strictly due to visual. Hardly noticeable back there and the flow is still good. I may put in a second one and alternate the flow, although imo a second is not necessary it's just something that would be nice if they can be synched.
