Not sure if this is the place for this but.
I'm having difficulty reading nitrates above 25mg/l with this nyos reefer nitrate test.
I do aquarium maintenance and I've come across tanks that I know have elevated nitrates.
This highest reading I ever get is 25 (bright yellow)
I've tried this across multiple tanks, I get lower reading but bever higher.
When it reads 25, API test will read 100+
I've tried diluting my sample with half newly mixed saltwater with no nitrates (tested with nyos and API at zero) and half the tank sample that previously read 25 mg/l and it again reads 25.
I know 25 is high for reefs, I'd just like to have a mark to work from to gauge my efforts to reduce nitrates in new client tanks.
I'm at a loss as NYOS doesn't seem to have us based customer service from what I can see.
Thanks
