!!!!!Build Thread!!!!
Finally getting back into the hobby after being out for several years!!! My love for fish and coral couldn’t keep me from not buying another tank. After years out of the hobby, I finally was at a good spot in life where I could afford my dream tank.
My decision came down to the innovative marine 50g lagoon and Nyos Opus 300 G2. After much thought and consideration, I finally decided on the Nyos Opus. My overall experience has been fantastic with this tank and the build quality has left me speechless. The stand looks great in the house and deep blue background adds a nice touch.

The equipment I decided to go with is
2 XR15 G6 Pro’s for lighting
Vectra S2 for return pump
MP40 for Flow
Nyos 160 Skimmer
Osmolator 3 for ATO
BRS titanium heater with Ink Bird

Following along! Can't wait to see the tank filled out!

Update on the tank.

Update on the tank. Just installed my Clarisea 3000. If you plan on adding a fleece roller I highly recommend doing it before you add water and do the plumbing. Removing the baffle can be difficult

This is very true, i did mine when it had water already in it. I had to order some 32mm fittings and didn't wait on the shipping. Lol

I used a 32mm to 1” union to do the plumbing. The union allows me to easily remove the fleece roller if needed for cleaning or anything else.

couple photos I took today of the reef. It is coming along nicely

Current sump set up. Dosing AFR
Hello
A while since your update, but I am planning for a new tank, the OPUSG2 300 is a candidate when I am looking for downsizing from my existing 180 gallon. I aim at using existing equipment to a certain degree, among others my Clarisea fleece unit.
Since you have installed your Clarisea in the skimmer compartment, is that because it does not fit where the filter sock normally is placed?

@PrimeTimeReef , I've got a NYOS Opus 300 G2 running for almost 18 months now and I think i want to install a fleece roller.

I know you mentioned it'll be a hassle with the plumbing--fair--but do you feel like you've got enough space in there to add other tech--media filter, etc.? Or are you using the area where the filter sock was for anything?
