I normally qt my fish with copper, but I currently have a Timor wrasse in qt without copper because I was told they don’t do well with copper treatments.
So for just an observational qt how long do most people leave them before adding them to the display?

I have seen them seeming fine in copper (power). I think the issue was with old copper citric acid mixes

Curious here since I am QT with mandarins who i have also heard dont do well with copper.

How long do you observe without meds to feel comfortable that there is no disease?

Copper is 4 weeks and prazi is 2 more. Then another 2 weeks to observe.
I would think 6 to 8 weeks. Ick is a 4 week life cycle, so absolutely 4 week minimum.
That's if nothing shows up.

update here. I did 4 weeks and there was absolutely zero evidence of anything so I moved my fish to DT.

3 weeks later my DT is full of Ich.

I will never QT without meds again. I know its a personal choice but I now know that its not worth it for me.

Hopefully OP had better luck.
