My husband gave me the idea of going to our Ocean in Mississippi to add fresh saltwater and sand to my aquarium to get all the stuff the ocean has in it that I can't see. Is this a good idea?

i did this for a nano tank. I wanted to make a "Local biome" and found some cool macro algaes along the shore. Its now overgrown with other undesirable algaes. Warmer weather is around the corner so ill be out mucking around.
The only thing i did was run some carbon in it overnight and it cleared it up. Oh and also added an airstone to help move it around.
