I just picked up an oceanic model 29 which seems to be older. I ordered an inTank filtration rack so I wouldn’t have to chase the filter replacements. Are you all really using bioballs? What are you doing for filtration?

We had a 29, the first thing we done was pitched the bioballs. It's been about 5 years ago. We ran chemi-pure, filter floss we didn't get to fancy but never had any problems or issues with the tank.

Nice tanks but you might consider a light upgrade if you plan to get to deep into corals. We installed some Steve's LEDs on our 32, if you pull the lid off you have more options as well. I seen a thread on another in the hood mod kit but I can remember the name.
