I use the most powerful neodymium magnets available. Rare earth magnets are not reef safe on their own, so I fabricate custom acrylic pods that encapsulate the magnets and keep them away from your water. Please visit the magnet warning pagefor more information on these magnets.

My Octo Pods™ come with a felt pad attached to the dry side and are hand assembled by myself using very strict quality control. I only use pieces cut with a router, not a laser cutter. Laser cutters are not as accurate and the edges get melted which result in poor seams. Nobody can beat my pods.

These are perfect for your own DIY project, or if you need to add some extra holding power to your existing equipment.

Two major advantages with these magnets for your DIY/repair jobs.....

1. super strong magnets. these magnets have more pull force for their size than almost all other magnets in the industry.

2. acrylic pods can be welded to your acrylic items with readily available acrylic solvents. some magnets pods I've seen are made of abs which requires a special, more costly solvent to weld to acrylic.

No. I build wood stand and I regularly use magnets to hold doors and panels. here's what I do...

Buy round magnets, use a forstner bit and drill appropriately sized holes in the wood so the magnets sit flush. use two part 5 minute epoxy to glue the magnets. the size and number of magnets will vary depending on the weight of the panels, you'll just have to experiment.
