Odd thing on coral

any idea what this is? I was cleaning my tank and saw it today. It's not hard like coral. If I shoot some water at it, it moves.

I know this can't be it but it looks like eggs, anything in the tank that might have laid them?

Nothing I know of. The snails I have don't lay eggs like that. Could be some unknown creature though.
