Off-Camera Flash~

Use the flash to easily capture more detailed photos.
Although it is not suitable for corals, it is very useful for fishes.

In order to avoid glass reflection problems, it is better to use off-camera flash.

I like to light from above or from an angle, but then under expose the shot to drop the background out. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I use it for specimen ID signs at an aquarium:

Increase the ISO and make the fill light sufficient and comprehensive to brighten the background.

Of course, the two different presentation methods have their own photo styles, and I like both of them according to different purposes.

The natural sunlight is better than many artificial lights, but most of the tanks are located in places where the sun is blocked.
Sufficient light can greatly improve the details and quality of photos, and can also increase the shutter speed to avoid blurred photos caused by fish swimming or shaking hands.
If you have a chance to use the flash to fill light, the effect will make you amazing.
