Hi,

I had originally started a build thread on Nano-Reef (eiresps) but figured I’d partake here as well.

TANK: Fluval Evo 13.5g

LIGHTING: Smatfarm G5 95w LED ( current settings Ch A. 20%, Ch B. 100%, Ch C. 100%, Ch D. 100%, Ch E. 20%, Ch F. 60%)

FILTRATION: Fluval PS2 protein skimmer and Fluval biofoam in chamber 1, Marine Pure Gems in chamber 2, return and heater in chamber 3

HEATING: Fluval M100, connected to INKBIRD ITC-306A in chamber 3

WATER MOVEMENT: stock Fluval return, Maxspect Jump Gyre 2k running at 60%

SALT MIX: Red Sea blue bucket mixed with RODI, 2 gallon water change weekly

DOSING/FEEDING: Red Sea Trace Colors, Red Sea Foundation. Oyster feast and Phyto Feast (0.5ml mixed with rodi water 1 x weekly)

All power and settings for everything are Wi-Fi/Bluetooth controlled via an iPad Air 5th gen, so that when I am not in office I can view stats/adjust things etc.

Water Parameters 4/13/23 (using Salifert test kits)
SG 35ppt
Temp 78.5
Ca 450
Kh 7.7
pH 8.0
PO4 0.03
NO3 not detectable

CURRENT FTS 4/15/23 ( 100% blues, purple, green, 3% 3k white) using Orphek Coral Lens 20k on iPad Air 5th gen. Non edited.

I’ll be picking up a PAR meter today and doing some readings over the next 24 hours for the Smatfarm G5 on my tank. I’m getting good coloration and growth, but it’s always nice to know exact numbers.

not much to update, small growth tips emerging on the miyagi tort, gold mille, and major color changes to the acans.

im getting great PE after turning the gyre up to 60%, and moving it to the other side. I’m still debating swapping for a Nero 3 or an MP10 due to the ugliness of the gyre. Nothing negative to say about it’s performance though.

also kicking around the idea of swapping out the LEDs for a 70w MH pendant.
I’ve tuned the leds to AB+ (or as close as this light can get to it), and lifted it a little higher above the water. But I’m reminiscing on the good days of MH lol.

Would love to know par readings you got? I have same tank and light. Also would like to know what settings your running to mimic ab+?
