Couldnt agree more, how're you liking the H80?
It has worked well for me but if I had to do it over, I'd probably go with the H380 instead. I'm planning on using a pair of H380s on the 150g build.

Where is this 150 build you speak of?

I purchased the H80 early on, talking like June, and since then have been wishing I spend the extra $150 and picked up the 380. I might eventually upgrade and then make a small refugium on a frag tank or something for the H80.

I was asked a few questions in regard to my sump layout a while back and made a little diagram of how things were laid out; in the event somebody else has a similar setup, perhaps this is of use.

I cant fault its ability to grow macro algae as I have a very densely packed refugium but there is likely room for improvement with the H380.

As for the 150g build, things are moving slowly for the time being. The stand and conopy are under construction by a local builder and I'm still gathering parts. I started to purchase Radions for the build but decided to use Kessils again instead. The current plan is to use five A360WEs and four, 80w T5s.

Looks good! What kind of macro is that?

Did you end up going with dimmable T5's and static Kessil settings or static T5's with dimming on the Kessils? Right now I just have two A360's over my 93gallon cube but really interested in the Aquatic Life T5 hybrid ballasts I can add my Kessils into. a 24 inch fixture would look nice over the 30 inch cube and with an extra bracket can get both my kessils into it.

Not sure if all the caulerpa species are still alive but there is/was prolifera, paspaloides, and sertulariodes. Some rogue chaeto made it's way into macro pack and started taking over about two months ago after being dormant (well, not visible) for well over a year.

The T5s are on a dimmable ballast but I don't dim them; they're on for eight hours daily (12pm to 8pm). The Kessils ramp from 0% color to 75% color for two hours in the morning (10am to 12pm) and evening (8pm to 10pm). Intensity ramps up from 11% (where my controller actually turns them on) at 10am to a max intensity of 75% at 4pm and then ramps back down and off at 10pm.

Also, looks like you may have a substrate in the sump as well... if so what kind? Nice tank by the way...

A truly momentous occasion! Though he regularly tries, the conch rarely gets very high up on the rocks but today, he (she, whatever) crested the top.

The rainbow delight continues to encrust much quicker than the yellow tip and is coming along nicely.

Shots taken under Kessil illumination only (60% color/~70% intensity).

Tank looks great but that sump area is beautiful! Makes me feel bad how dirty and random I keep mine haha.
